Bicycle at the station
Bicycles must always be walked, not ridden, at train stations and on platforms, and they are not allowed to be taken through station buildings. You need to lead your bike around the station buildings or use the designated routes. Here you can read more about the rules at Stockholm C and Västerås C.
Stockholm Central
At Stockholm Central, bicycles are not allowed inside the station building, but there are convenient routes you can use to easily access the platforms:
Tracks 1-10: For arrivals and departures on tracks 1-10, use the exit at the Arlanda Express entrance on Östra Järnvägsgatan/Vasaplan. From here, you can reach all tracks without passing through the station building, and there are no level changes to worry about.
Tracks 11-19: For arrivals and departures on tracks 11-19, take the elevator to Klarabergsviadukten Nils Ericsons Plan and then follow the passage under the tracks leading to tracks 11-19. There are level changes, but both stairs and elevators are available. Follow the signs towards track 19.
Regardless of where you are in the station, bicycles must always be walked. Please use the elevators or stairs, but not the escalators.
Västerås Central Station
At Västerås Central Station, you can lead your bicycle through the station building and take the elevator to the connecting passage, which then leads to the platforms.
