The strike can affect Mälartåg train traffic

This is how the train traffic with Mälartåg will be affected

The planned train traffic for each line in the event of a strike from May 19th at 15:00 are as follows:

• No services will be operated on the Örebro-Eskilstuna-Stockholm-Uppsala and Norrköping-Nyköping-Stockholm lines.
• Approximately half of the departures are planned to operate on the Hallsberg-Katrineholm-Stockholm and Linköping-Eskilstuna-Västerås-Sala-Uppsala lines.
• Approximately 70 percent of the departures on the Uppsala-Tierp-Gävle line are planned to operate.

Regular train traffic will run as usual on the morning of Friday, May 19th and gradually decrease until 15:00.

As soon as we have more detailed information about the affected departures, you can find it on mälartåg.se. Our journey planner in the app and website will also be updated. Even if there is no strike close to May 19th, the traffic may be affected on another day until we have had the opportunity to rearrange the train traffic.

We have looked into the possibility of providing replacement buses on certain routes, but it would be in violation of the current conflict rules.

Cancellation and rebooking of journeys

If you have already purchased a ticket for a Mälartåg departure from Friday, May 19th, you can choose to rebook for a later date or cancel and receive a refund. If you have purchased a ticket for a canceled departure but choose to travel on a later departure on the same day, you can use your existing ticket and do not need to purchase a new one.
